Pottery classes are for all ages, and complete beginners very welcome, and offer a unique blend of creativity, community, mindfulness, and fun. Working with clay is great for joyful self-expression, and a really rewarding and relaxing hands-on experience.

We work with earthenware clay and coloured slips, and glazes, and make anything you can imagine ! Mugs, plates, tiles, animal sculptures, bowls, wall hangings, and seasonal items, using a variety of hand building techniques. There are also four wheels for throwing pots too. Classes are small so plenty of time for individual support.

You will make and decorate in one session and pieces are fired at a later date for you to keep.

Pottery classes are held at the Stables, Achavaich Farmhouse, near Oban. One initial class will be a hand building project of your choice, then subesequent classes you can learn wheel throwing, or choose to do further hand building, or combine both types of ceramic work.

" We had such a lovely time at our pottery session; beautiful location, inspiring space, and Fiona is a great teacher. We had two ten year olds in our party who absolutely loved it as well as us adults. We all totally got in the zone! Looking forward to coming again "
